Life Loom
"Life Loom" translates as a contemporary take on the Patchwork quilt. The Life Loom is a result from an ongoin experiment with how to have my Textile based artworks backlight. This has been aprox a fifteen year journey of develpoment, exploration and experimentation. This is not a fixed conclusion, one reason being is because I am always analysing and re-assesing my work, therefore my creative thinking isalways in motion and hence open to "style" change.
Life Loom also came about as many other creatives I have a tendacey to horde "stuff" that you know will be useful! Therefore I desired to make mine and other peoples beautiful and precious hordeings into precious creative products.
Life Loom can represent a milestone in your live, be it yours or a freinds, or lovers into an origional artwork keepsake.

For a couple of years now I have wanted to express ideas through the oil paint medium. I have not painted continually with oils since I was at Secondary School. Until now, have not found it to be "right". The "right" time happened upon me by personal circumstances which affected me deeply. I was working through my experience privately. Now some time as passed I feel able to share the work with others. May they may resonnate with some people?
